Backup Max Cutforth rallies Boise State after Maddux Madsen leaves with a knee injury

Starting quarterback Maddux Madsen left Saturday's game with about eight minutes to play and the Broncos trailing 39-28. He left with an ice pack around his left knee and watched the rest from the sideline on crutches. Coach Spencer Danielson said he "doesn't know" yet how serious it is.

Boise State unveils an 11-foot bronze statue of Kellen Moore at halftime

Kellen Moore came home, and he called it a "really cool honor". Boise State unveiled an 11-foot bronze statue of the New Orleans Saints head coach Saturday at halftime, showing his signature left-handed passing pose. He's the first Boise State player with a statue at Albertsons Stadium.

Sculptor Ben Victor spent about six months shaping Moore in clay, and fan feedback led him to switch to an older helmet. The statue will sit at the northeast corner of the stadium, near the North End Zone.

“It's a really cool honor, and I think hopefully it just kind of is a representation for an era of Boise State football that was really fun, really special.”

The Wrap

Winter gear gets a second life today at the 75th Annual Ski Swap, a seasonal sale of new and used skis, snowboards, boots, clothing and other winter gear at The Stadium at Expo Idaho in Garden City. It runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today, and we'd say it's a smart way to gear up for the slopes. Happy hunting.
