  • A semi-truck with America 250 and JustServe signage will reach Caldwell at 7 a.m. carrying a 40,000-lb food shipment from the LDS Church in a national effort; it will aid The Salvation Army Caldwell, Advocates Against Family Violence, Caldwell School District Food Pantry, and Caldwell Housing Authority.  KBOI

CULTURE NEWS

  • Responding to community requests, the Western Idaho Fair will remain scheduled from Friday, Aug. 21 to Sunday, Aug. 30 in Garden City but will shift in future years + from Friday, Aug. 13 to Sunday, Aug. 29 in 2027 and from Friday, Aug. 4 to Sunday, Aug. 20 in 2028.  KIDO

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Gov. Brad Little announced a 7.5% cut in the state's unemployment insurance tax rate for 2026, which is expected to save employers about $11 million (the base rate will drop to 0.729% with an increased taxable wage base). Updated rates will be mailed to businesses next week.  KBOI
