- ➤ Shindig Farms will open its Lost in Christmas maze in Nampa on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22—offering thousands of twinkling lights, festive surprises and a $4 admission discount for guests who donate two or more non-perishable items for the Idaho Food Bank. KIDO
- ➤ Boise State's ExtraMile Arena updated its bag policy in October to require clear bags for safety+ the change now applies to all events including basketball games, gymnastics meets, concerts and the winter commencement. Officials say the policy matches guidelines already in place at Albertsons Stadium to help make event entry more secure. KIDO

- ➤ Peter McPoland injured his finger during a live concert at The Shrine in Boise when he struck a cymbal with his bare hand + he broke a bone and is expected to recover soon. KIDO
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Boise Towne Square Mall may soon host an indoor blacklight mini golf course as Opry Glowgolf filed a permit for tenant improvements (the request, received November 9, is under review while the mall continues to fill its vacant spaces). KIDO
- ➤ Three Boise restaurants are facing closures in November amid ongoing business challenges. Lemon Tree’s Harris Ranch closed on November 14, Giggy D’s on Overland will close on November 25 when its lease ends, and The Whale Tea on Broadway will end operations November 30—raising concerns among local fans. - ➤ Idaho’s first Raising Cane’s opened today in Meridian at 9 a.m. and is hosting a grand opening event with a 'Lucky 20' drawing starting at 7:30 a.m.—offering free Cane’s prizes, commemorative items with the first 100 combos, and donations to local charities while planning future openings in Coeur d’Alene and Twin Falls. - ➤ On November 15, the Fil-Am Association of Idaho hosted a pageant that showcased four contestants—Mitch Osborne, Maricel Jennings, Elizabeth Mas, and Marisol Pagulayan—in talent and Q&A sessions that raised funds for victims of typhoons in the Philippines. - ➤ Treasure Valley residents can prepare for steelhead fishing as 200 fish will be released into the Boise River on Friday, Nov. 21 between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at five locations (Glenwood Bridge, Americana Bridge, below the Broadway Avenue Bridge, West Parkcenter Bridge, and Barber Park); anglers must have a valid fishing license and steelhead permit since all released fish will lack an adipose fin.
