- ➤ Boise will start the holiday season on Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. when Mayor Lauren McLean lights a 45-foot Colorado Blue Spruce with over 5,000 lights at The Grove Plaza — the event will feature live music and surprise guests. Other family events include the Giving Tree for the Women’s and Children’s Alliance, Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29, and December First Thursday on Dec. 4 with local shopping and art. KBOI
