- ➤ Idaho Falls community leader Carrie Scheid, who passed away October 21, is set to be posthumously honored with the 2025 Cecil D. Andrus Volunteer of the Year Award for her over 30 years of service—her husband Jerry Scheid and step-daughter will accept the award at the Gem Ball on November 20 at Boise Centre East. Local News 8
- ➤ Boise Rescue Mission Ministries will host its Annual Veterans Day Luncheon today from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Riverside Hotel Banquet Hall—Rev. - ➤ Today, the USS Idaho, a Virginia-class nuclear submarine testing in Groton, CT, completed its alpha sea trials that checked speed and safety systems so its crew will continue training until commissioning in spring.
