- ➤ The national group Gift of Adoption has expanded its Idaho chapter—launched in 2024—and helped connect 68 children with forever families by awarding more than $200,000 in grants. Driven by local volunteers, it aims to raise funds for every eligible family this year during National Adoption Month and has already granted $22 million across the nation since 1996. Local News 8
- ➤ Zoo Boise will bring back $3 Admission Days every Thursday from November through February, letting visitors explore its exhibits for three dollars—EBT/SNAP cardholders receive free entry with a valid ID. KIDO
- ➤ The Idaho Veterans Parade will take place Saturday, November 8 at 10 a.m. in front of the Idaho State Capitol. Idaho Press
- ➤ The Idaho Humane Society launched its 27th annual Feed Frankie's Friends food drive to give treats to pets waiting for adoption this holiday season. The drive runs until Dec. 31 and donations can be made at three Northwest Pets locations (which will match 10% of contributions). KBOI
- ➤ The Ada County Highway District invites the community to honor veterans this Veterans Day by taking part in the Downtown Eagle Nest Quest and dropping off a thank-you letter or card at Sweet Tea Living (99 E. - ➤ Starbucks launched its holiday menu on November 6 at the Boise Ave store — with festive red decor and a viral merchandise line including a Bearista cup priced at $29.95 — to kick off the season for local customers. Red Cup Day is set for November 13 when customers who order a handcrafted holiday drink will receive a free reusable red cup while supplies last. KIDO

- ➤ Journey announced their Final Frontier Tour will include a Boise show at ExtraMile Arena on Tuesday, April 14—tickets go on sale on November 14 after a presale on November 13. The band will perform alone—delivering extended sets of their major hits. KIDO
- ➤ Zoo Boise will host a Christmas event in December where Santa visits to offer breakfast, crafts, and photo opportunities, and guests can explore the zoo afterward. Tickets are limited and the event takes place at Zoo Boise (located between downtown and Boise State University). KIDO

- ➤ Boise Airport officials are evaluating whether FAA service cuts will affect flight operations—if needed they will adjust services to minimize delays. Idaho Press
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Brad Little announced Thursday that the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare had submitted an application for the Rural Health Transformation Program—seeking up to $1 billion over five years to boost rural health services for Idaho residents in need. The funding will support efforts to improve access to care in rural areas. Idaho Press
