- ➤ Chipotle is offering free Red Chimichurri Sauce to rewards members at all its Idaho locations this weekend & the sauce, usually sold for about a dollar, can be added to any entree. KIDO
- ➤ Tamarack Resort will limit passes and ticket sales for the upcoming ski season to keep the lodge less crowded + deliver a premium experience following a trend at other resorts. The 3,600-acre resort, a 90-mile drive from Boise, said it is taking this step to better serve guests. KIDO

- ➤ The Ada County Highway District invites residents to vote in its 'Name a Plow' contest until Oct. 30 — residents may choose up to five favorite names on ACHD's website, and the top choice will earn a $100 gift card. The winning name will be used for a snow plow that will serve on Ada County roads this winter. KBOI
- ➤ Kuna Rural Fire District hosted a public groundbreaking ceremony for Station 2 Friday morning to boost emergency response as the community grows — Fire Chief TJ Lawrence said the project positions crews to serve Kuna better. KBOI
- ➤ Over 80 Idaho National Guard soldiers and 10 UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters returned home Thursday from a 10-month deployment supporting the Joint Emergency Evacuation Plan mission at Ft. Belvoir — the recurring operation also involves active-duty aviation units nationwide — officials confirmed. KBOI
- ➤ Idaho law allows adults to vape while driving as long as no (under 18) passenger is present and the driver is not distracted by handling the device. Officers may take action if vaping causes distraction (for example, when the driver is fiddling with the vape). KIDO
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Feeding America’s Map the Meal Gap report shows 1 in 8 Idahoans and 1 in 6 children faced food insecurity last year — with the highest rates in Lewis, Butte, Shoshone and Benewah counties and notable challenges for Hispanic residents and seniors. - ➤ Magellan of Idaho will lower pay rates for mental health providers by 4% to 15% starting in November—partial hospitalizations will see a 15% cut and intensive outpatient care a 10% cut.
