- ➤ The City of Boise announced new safety measures by lowering Lime scooter speed limits effective Oct 23, allowing 12 mph on the Greenbelt 24/7 and 10 mph downtown from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m., and the city & police department will work to educate privately owned e-scooter users and urge all riders to follow the new limits. - ➤ SNAP benefits for Boise residents will be paused in November due to a federal shutdown until officials resolve the issue—WIC, Social Security, and Medicaid remain unaffected. KIDO
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Open enrollment for Idaho health insurance began October 15 and tax credits expired, which led to net premiums rising about 75% while gross costs increased by around 10%.
