- ➤ A pig arrived at West Valley Humane Society in Caldwell on Monday, October 13 and officials are asking anyone who might know his owner to call (208) 455-5920 as Animal Control delivered him to the shelter. Officials require proof of ownership before the pig can be reunited with his family. KIDO
- ➤ Barriers to Bridges is a local event to promote civil discourse set for Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Inspiration Alley in downtown Boise — Idaho For Good hosts a panel discussion with Senator Melissa Wintrow, political strategist Todd Cranney, and speaking coach Nancy Buffington. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the discussion runs from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the event is free with an RSVP required. KBOI
- ➤ Boise County Search and Rescue is asking for donations—needed to purchase critical equipment to improve rescue services and better support emergency calls. Idaho Press

- ➤ Wok N’ Roll is leaving The Warehouse Food Hall soon to open its first standalone restaurant across the street in the former Clucks Nashville Hot Chicken location at 8th Street. - ➤ After nine years in Boise, Mad Swede Brewing is closing its Cole Road taproom today as Jerry and Susie Larson retire to care for their new grandchild—Wild Frontier Beer Project will move into that space—and its Downtown taproom will remain open until December 31. KIDO

- ➤ Used cars cost more in Idaho than in most states with an average price around $40,000 compared to about $34,000, according to World Population Review. Demand, market conditions, and local regulations are driving the price gap. KIDO
