  • Abby Davis left Boise’s KTVB on September 17 and accepted a reporter role at Fox 12 in Portland—she was the fifth familiar face to depart the station this year.  KIDO
  • Veterans Memorial Park in Boise will get a $660,000 upgrade that adds an 18-hole disc golf course, new ADA accessible pathways, and a natural play space for children—most trails will remain open during construction which is expected to finish by spring.  KBOI
  • Two Men and a Truck is hosting its annual Movers For Mutts campaign today from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at select Fred Meyer stores — the event collects dog food donations for the Idaho Humane Society.  KBOI

  • Boise's historic Arid Club celebrated its Grand Re-Opening today after a several-month remodel—members enjoyed upscale amenities and comfortable hospitality along the Boise River.  KBOI

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Boise State University received a $7.4M award from the NSF to launch a new semiconductor research and education center—set to boost training and innovation in the industry. The center will provide opportunities for skilled workforce development and advance semiconductor technology.  Idaho Press

  • A new series reviews the top-rated restaurant in each of 22 Idaho counties, including Boise County’s Gold Mine Grill & Saloon and a small-town diner in Adams County—each chosen using ratings from Google, Yelp, or Trip Advisor.
