  • Hyde Park Street Fair returns this weekend to Camel's Back Park for its 46th year—starting at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept, the block party becomes the area's largest celebration.  Idaho Press

  • Spirit Airlines will stop flying from Boise Airport to several cities starting in October—travelers are advised to review their tickets to avoid issues, and experts predict larger carriers may benefit from the change.  KIDO

CRIME NEWS

  • A man was injured in a shooting in north Boise.  Idaho Press
  • On Sept 24, 2024, Boise Police shot armed robbery suspect Adam Lee Cook after a high-speed chase when he took a shooting stance during a standoff, and the Office of Police Accountability later ruled the officers' actions justified as Cook was taken to hospital and pleaded guilty.  KBOI
  • Idaho Judicial Branch warns of rising online threats following misleading social media posts about the plea deal of former BYU baseball player Candon Dahle—local courts have increased security as messages incite violence against the judge and his family.  Local News 8

  • Patrick Schwarzenegger married his long-time girlfriend Abby Champion on September 6 in Coeur d'Alene at the exclusive Gozzer Ranch—drawing top Hollywood names such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Maria Shriver, Katherine Schwarzenegger, and Rob Lowe.
