- ➤ A plane crash in Bighorn National Forest injured a father, mother and son and killed their 13-year-old daughter when search and rescue, law enforcement and EMS crews responded near Big Mountain around 5 p.m. on Monday. KBOI

- ➤ Food Network named Piehole as Idaho’s best slice, praising its popular late-night pizza and the signature Potato/Bacon slice that has made it a local favorite—owner Russ Crawforth said the hit pizzeria continues to draw crowds and expand its reach beyond Boise. KIDO
- ➤ A survey by Newsweek ranked Boise’s Winco as the most trustworthy grocery store in America because it offers friendly customer service and competitive pricing — factors that helped the employee-owned chain beat all rivals. KIDO
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Boise State University warned its campus community that several sexual assaults occurred in a residence hall between Aug. 16 and Aug. 23, and the Office of Compliance and Ethics is investigating the incidents. KBOI
- ➤ On Wednesday morning, Eagle Police Department deputies arrived at Eagle Elementary around 9:50 a.m. in response to a lockdown report and, after officers reached the scene within 40 seconds, they cleared the building swiftly—ensuring all students and staff were safe. KBOI

- ➤ Boise State University will host Suicide Prevention Week from September 8th to 12th, with activities set on campus to raise awareness of mental health resources and encourage help-seeking behavior—aiming to reduce the risk of suicide in the community. KBOI
