EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Northwest Nazarene University engineering students launched an experiment aboard a NASA sounding rocket from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility as part of the RockSat-X program— they built and tested a payload with an ejector and robotic arm to track objects in space. KBOI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Idaho Transportation Department is among state agencies facing a network slowdown that makes online services such as registration renewals and DMV transactions difficult—customers may experience delays as the issue continues. KBOI
- ➤ The Idaho Department of Corrections is exploring remote operated firing squad options to reduce correctional officers' direct involvement in executing sentences. The state passed a law making the firing squad its primary method effective July 2026 at a prison south of Boise—lethal injection remains a backup option. KBOI
