- ➤ Boise Rotary Clubs have unveiled plans to transform an 18-acre plot near downtown Boise into a Peace Park that will honor nature and project founder John Lodal’s late wife. The park will preserve the high desert wetland — less than one acre will be developed — and feature a stone monument and peace poles while funding is still sought. KBOI

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Emergency agencies across Treasure Valley took part in Boise Airport’s TriEx exercise—a simulation of a cargo plane striking a passenger plane—to test their coordinated response. The training involved 150 participants—including 63 volunteers acting as injured victims—and officials stressed the need to be ready for real emergencies. KBOI
- ➤ First responders across Treasure Valley will begin a weeklong public awareness campaign titled 'See the Lights, Pull to the Right' on August 10 to show drivers how to safely move over for emergency vehicles & tow trucks.
