ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • The Nampa Police Department confirmed that a plane crashed in the 200 block of N Venice today—three passengers died while no one on the ground was injured.  KBOI

CULTURE NEWS

  • At Jaialdi 2025, thousands gather downtown to watch pelota, an old Basque sport played on Boise's only fronton behind the historic Anduiza Hotel plus local leagues include men, women, and youth. Players from Idaho, California, and the Basque Country will compete on the Basque Block plus the president of the Basque Autonomous Community is expected to attend a match on July 31.  KBOI
  • Below 10th Street, Boise's old basement bar stays open and shows its long history as one of the city's oldest bars—many locals continue to visit it.  Idaho Press

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Ada County Highway District's draft budget calls for widening roads, adding pedestrian improvements and designing new bridges in Meridian and Eagle. Officials say these projects will be among its largest construction efforts — further plans will be reviewed in upcoming meetings.  Idaho Press
