Good morning, Boise.

After weeks of firefighting, the Claremont Fire in the Boise foothills is 90% contained and has burned 6,606 acres since it began July 6; command will be transferred to a local agency Monday morning while temporary closures for BLM-managed lands remain in effect to ensure public safety.

Today, the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality warned that wildfire smoke has driven Treasure Valley's air quality to red unhealthy levels, and burn bans plus woodstove restrictions are now in effect in Ada and Canyon Counties.
