- ➤ Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 184 near milepost 1 that occurred at 3:21 a.m. on July 19 when a speeding 19-year-old man in a red 2013 Honda Accord struck a 66-year-old woman's tan 1999 Pontiac; officials say alcohol may have been a factor. KBOI

- ➤ Topgolf in Treasure Valley is offering half-off deals Monday through Thursday this summer to bring more visitors, and the new offer follows an earlier one-day discount that proved popular. KIDO
- ➤ Wepa Cafe, a local favorite known for its rooftop dining and diverse menu, will close on Saturday, July 26th as the business—started in 2018—thanks its loyal guests and staff. KIDO

- ➤ A 19-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash near Star early Saturday morning when his 1991 Harley-Davidson failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection of N. Can Ada Rd. and W. Joplin Rd., Ada County Sheriff's Office said (witnesses are urged to contact detectives). KBOI

- ➤ A grass fire between Boise and Mountain Home spread to over 1,000 acres along I-84 after it started on Saturday, July 19 at 12:53 p.m. MDT — fire crews worked to contain the blaze as police closed lanes and advised residents in nearby areas to evacuate. KBOI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Postal Service increased the forever stamp price from 73 cents to 78 cents on July 13 and raised domestic and international mailing rates in Idaho, Washington and Utah—while cutting postal insurance by 12 percent. A change on April 1 refined mail delivery service to support facility, equipment and vehicle upgrades in a 10-year improvement plan—helping the USPS deliver mail more reliably. KIDO
- ➤ On Tuesday, the Boise City Council presented its proposed budget that will raise property taxes to boost the city fund—a move needed due to tight finances. Idaho Press

- ➤ On Saturday, July 19, the Bailey Glasser Boise Twilight Criterium took place downtown as thousands of racers and fans gathered for the American Criterium Cup series with a $500,000 purse split evenly between the women’s and men’s races.
