Good morning, Boise.

On July 4, 2026, a geomagnetic storm produced vivid Northern Lights across the state, turning the night sky into a natural light show for residents.

The event sparked social media buzz and offered a memorable Fourth of July (a rare phenomenon for locals).

The Standi Fire burned 24 acres south of Kuna in unincorporated Ada County at 3:38 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.
