- ➤ The Idaho Humane Society has admitted 2,435 cats since Jan. 1 — many of which are vulnerable kittens — and is low on wet food and kitten milk replacement, so it is asking local residents to drop off supplies at the Dorman Campus at 4775 W. Dorman St. in Boise. KBOI

- ➤ Idaho State Police reported that a motorcyclist who drove over 100 mph on I-84 on June 4th and later was seen exceeding 150 mph turned himself in and will face criminal charges. KIDO

- ➤ The 14th Annual Boise Music Festival will take place at Expo Idaho on June 21. Forecast shows a high near 68—visitors should plan ahead since umbrellas are not allowed inside and may want to buy a poncho instead. KIDO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Idaho Lottery officials said one winning ticket worth one million dollars has gone unclaimed for six months and must be claimed by Monday, June 30 — three other tickets holding one thousand dollars each are also unclaimed, and officials urge players to check their tickets before the prizes expire. - ➤ Meridian mayor has proposed a $5 million safety levy to boost public services in the city—officials say the proposal will be reviewed soon. Idaho Press
- ➤ The Idaho State Board of Examiners approved $300,000 for the Idaho State Police to transport convicted illegal immigrant criminals to ICE detention centers using funds from the Governor's emergency fund—Governor Brad Little said the move will remove dangerous criminals from Idaho as the agency begins its new partnership under the federal 287(g) program.
