- ➤ Today, the Idaho Humane Society has many adoptable cats and kittens waiting to be joined by local families and also cares for other pets like dogs, rabbits, birds, and mice. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Caldwell police worked with Queen Creek police to arrest convicted felon Darryl Kysar on June 12 at Sun Creek Point RV Park after he had fled law enforcement since May 13 + ending a nationwide manhunt. KIDO
- ➤ Idaho inmate Summer (28) from Boise is gaining internet fame after TikTok videos show her asking for pen pals while she awaits her June next year release from Pocatello Women's Correctional Center. KIDO
- ➤ Under Idaho law, if a person is caught walking nude in public, they will face a misdemeanor on a first offense and a felony if caught again—residents are advised to keep clothes on in public spaces even if designated nude areas exist. KIDO
- ➤ Nicole Ann Kettler, a 41 year old woman from Michigan with a history of drug trafficking, was sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison after a May 2024 traffic stop in Idaho led officers to discover thousands of fentanyl pills, meth, and powder—she had admitted to frequently traveling to Portland to buy these drugs—adding another major bust to law enforcement records. - ➤ Federal DOGE cuts have reduced staffing at the Aberdeen potato breeding facility from nine to three, which cuts new plant production from 150,000 to about 60,000 this season—Chris Voigt warned that without refilling key positions, output could fall to zero next season despite temporary help from the University of Idaho.
