- ➤ Boise’s annual Idaho 4th of July Parade returns on the morning of July 4 with a new route that will feature marching bands, patriotic floats, and military tributes. Local groups and sponsors, including Peterson Chevrolet Buick Cadillac, support the event as applications to participate remain open. KBOI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Boise Airport Director Rebecca Hupp announced she will retire effective June 19 after 14 years leading growth that saw passenger traffic increase by 82%. Interim director Kathleen Watkins and city officials will manage the transition and begin recruiting a new director. KBOI
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Special Olympics torch arrived in Boise (welcomed by Gov. Brad at the Capitol) ahead of the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run that will kick off two days before the Idaho Summer Games in Nampa. Idaho Press
- ➤ Boise State has set kickoff times for its 2026 season as it joins the Pac-12 conference; matchups include Oregon at 1:30pm and Memphis at 4pm, with all games scheduled in Boise time (Mountain Time). KIDO
