  • Strong winds & thunderstorms caused power outages that affected over 1,500 homes along the Warm Springs corridor and 200 in the Boise foothills on Monday. Idaho Power said restoration was scheduled for between 5:30 and 6:30.  KBOI
  • Lakeview Park in Nampa will reopen May 29 featuring a play surface named in honor of the revered former police chief nearly six months after closure.  Idaho Press
  • Boise resident Robin Hadder launched an interactive website map for neighbors to anonymously report rat sightings in the Treasure Valley. The tool will help identify hotspots and encourage pest control firms to use humane rat birth control + share data with local researchers.  Local News 8
  • Community members attended Meridian's Memorial Day ceremony at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park on Monday, May 25, 2026, honoring local service members. The event featured tributes, name readings, and recognition of James Dewey Highley (whose family reconnected after research by local historian Joseph Huit).  KBOI
