- ➤ The City of Boise is honoring fallen heroes with Memorial Day ceremonies at Morris Hill Cemetery and Fort Boise Military Reserve Cemetery this weekend ending Monday, May 26. The Idaho Civil War Volunteers will lead a 21-gun salute and play taps at Morris Hill Cemetery at 10:45 a.m. and at Fort Boise at 11:45 a.m. on Monday — visitors may place artificial flowers, flags, or wreaths — while glass or breakable containers remain prohibited. - ➤ State officials reported Tuesday that low firefighting staffing and a faster snowpack melt could challenge Idaho's ability to manage wildfires as summer nears — the lands director warned that dwindling resources may heighten fire risks in the coming months. Idaho Press
