ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Data from the Idaho Transportation Department shows that from 2008 to May the state’s 15 most dangerous roads have recorded 3,851 deaths statewide—roads like I-84 and US-95 have seen many fatal crashes, with alcohol impairment a key factor. Local drivers in Boise are urged to remain cautious, especially during the summer’s busy driving season.  KIDO

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Rite Aid filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 5—its second filing since late 2023—and plans to close 151 stores including two in Idaho in Caldwell and McCall. The company said remaining Idaho locations will transfer to new operators like CVS, Walgreens or Boise-based Albertsons during its reorganization.  KIDO
