- ➤ Reginald, a Great Dane from Idaho Falls, was named the tallest dog in the world by Guinness World Records. He stands 3-foot-3 tall on all fours—he also met the world’s smallest dog in a record-arranged event. KIDO
- ➤ Idaho's Largest Garage Sale will take place on Saturday, May 17th from 7 AM to 5 PM at the West Parking Lot of The Expo Idaho at 5610 Glenwood St.—special guest auctioneers Dan & Laura Dotson from Storage Wars are set to join the event. KIDO
- ➤ Boise Pride will launch Pride Season on June 6 with performers such as Cody Belew, Ariana & The Rose, and Corevette Collective—this event will mark the start of a new tradition celebrating queer joy and community belonging in the city. KBOI
- ➤ Eagle Saturday Market opened for the 2025 season and offers food, handmade goods + live music for locals to enjoy. The market started last Saturday and will stay open all summer for shoppers to explore outdoors. KIDO
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Scammers are targeting Idaho shoppers by sending fake emails and texts that claim additional tariff fees are due on deliveries and warn that victims never owe tariffs directly—if you receive a suspicious message, do not click the link and contact your carrier instead. KIDO
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A May water supply outlook report from the NRCS explained that warm, dry conditions in April sped up snowmelt, which reduced streamflow forecasts in basins like Big Wood, Salmon Falls and Oakley while 47% of Idaho lands now face drought. The report noted that water supply remains stable in the Boise, Payette and Upper Snake basins — although concerns persist if dry conditions continue. KBOI
- ➤ A four-year logging and wildfire prevention project will soon begin in Boise National Forest near Bogus Basin—this effort is expected to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health. Idaho Press

- ➤ The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has launched a hiring initiative for 63 new positions to improve child welfare and support vulnerable families.
