- ➤ Boise letter carriers dyed their hair blue at Undone Salon (738 N. Benjamin Lane) yesterday to raise awareness for the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Residents can leave nonperishable food by their mailboxes ahead of carriers picking up donations on Saturday, May 9. KBOI

- ➤ The Stil ice cream shop announced it will open a new location in Eagle this month after taking over the space of closed Negranti Creamery on Riverside Drive near Eagle Road and Waters Edge Event Center. The new shop will also serve coffee from Bumble Coffee and Taps. KIDO
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ In Idaho, regular unleaded gas prices rose 6 cents overnight to $4.51 amid global supply concerns (crude oil now trades near $106 per barrel), though prices remain below last summer's record highs. The increase was reported by AAA Idaho. KBOI
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Idaho State Tax Commission reported a $7 million balance remained from the $50 million school choice tax credit after its first application window + officials expect more details as the program evolves. Idaho Press
- ➤ West Ada School District will offer free, healthy meals for children age 1–18 from June 1 through July 31 at several locations in Meridian. Meals will be served at Peregrine Elementary, River Valley Elementary and Meridian High School (breakfast and lunch times vary). KIDO
- ➤ Boise State University will rename Cesar Chavez Lane and has passed along three possible names for the campus thoroughfare. The university said a final decision on the new name will be made soon. Idaho Press
- ➤ Treasure Valley Community College launched its Summer Reading Book Drive Tuesday, May 5 at its library to provide a free book for every student in the Ontario School District and several local elementary schools.
