- ➤ Eva’s Dream Ninja Course will open Sunday, May 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Discovery Park in Meridian, where a ribbon cutting and timed runs will honor Eva Plimmer’s vision—she designed the course with family and city council funding before her passing to help children build strength and overcome obstacles. - ➤ A structure fire at 12 Summer Drive in Garden Valley at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday claimed the life of a 15-year-old, with firefighters from Horseshoe Bend, Lowman, and Garden Valley responding—investigators are working to determine the cause. KBOI

- ➤ Rediscovered Books will leave its long-time 8th Street location after 14 years and move to the former Eyes of the World building at 1576 W. - ➤ Researchers at the University of Idaho confirmed that darkling beetles have been found in Treasure Valley, with sightings reported by homeowners in Eagle and Star. They say the insects are not a threat to crops but can gather in food-rich areas — like manure and compost — which may lead to home infestations if not controlled. KIDO

- ➤ Idaho law sets orange paint as the universal sign for no trespassing and warns that visitors may face fines, jail time or license loss if they ignore these signs—repeat offenses can lead to misdemeanor or felony charges with fines up to $50,000.
