ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Fire crews from Idaho (Nampa, Parma, and Sand Hollow) helped battle two large wildfires in Georgia on Friday, May 1. The Pineland Road Fire burned 32,575 acres at 40% containment while the Highway 82 Fire burned 22,532 acres at 37% containment.  KBOI

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Public events will honor former Gov. Dirk Kempthorne on May 15 and 16 in Boise. He will lie in state at 10 a.m. Friday in the Capitol and have a service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of the Rockies—followed by a private procession to the Veterans Cemetery.  Local News 8
