- ➤ Boise Bicycle Project is expanding its Shifting Gears program to help formerly incarcerated women rejoin the community. The project will hold a bike giveaway and safety course today at 4 p.m.—both events led by program participants. KBOI
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Boise Police are asking the public for help finding missing 16-year-old Kie, who was last seen near Libby Lane on April 23 (dark hair, approximately 5'5, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds). KBOI
- ➤ Judge Steven Hippler ruled that the death penalty remains available for Bryan Kohberger, who is accused of fatally stabbing four University students, because autism does not exempt him under state law—if convicted he may face execution by firing squad. KIDO
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Eric Church will perform at Extra Mile Arena in Boise on October 24 during his Free the Machine tour. Tickets will be available at 10 a.m. on May 9 + his new album Evangeline vs. the Machine will be released this Friday. KBOI

- ➤ A recent study ranks Boise among America's top 50 most expensive rental markets as one-bedroom units cost $1,330 and two-bedroom units $1,450 — a sign that rising rent is affecting the city. KIDO
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Idaho Department of Education has awarded $1.53M in federal grants to eight school districts and two community organizations to boost out-of-school and summer learning for youth. The funds, allocated over five years through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers program, will support academic, arts and career technical programs — giving students more structured opportunities beyond school. KBOI
