- ➤ A Boise judge ruled that prosecutors may pursue the death penalty for Bryan Kohberger if he is convicted of murdering four University of Idaho students at a rental home near campus on Nov. 13th, 2022 — his autism diagnosis does not bar the penalty option. KBOI

- ➤ The Idaho State Board of Education appointed Dr. Jeremiah Shinn as interim president of Boise State University—he will take over after Dr. Marlene Tromp departs for the University of Vermont as the board prepares formal action on his appointment. KBOI

- ➤ Boise Mayor Lauren McLean responded in writing to Attorney General Raul Labrador about the pride flag and organ donation flag at City Hall (HB 96) and said she would not remove them because the law lacks penalties and she stands by the Constitution.
