- ➤ A vehicle crashed into an apartment building this morning—displacing 16 residents and forcing firefighters to rescue the driver, who is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries while investigators probe the cause. KBOI
- ➤ A car crashed into a Garden City apartment — sparking a fire that displaced 16 residents. Idaho Press
- ➤ The Meridian Police Department is assisting with a gas line break near Walmart on Overland Road that forced nearby businesses to evacuate and closed the road between South Stoddard and South Meridian Road—Intermountain Gas is on scene addressing the leak. KBOI

- ➤ Idaho Catholics will hold a memorial mass for Pope Francis this week at St. John’s Cathedral in downtown Boise—where all priests in the Diocese will concelebrate—welcoming everyone to honor his legacy and message of inclusion as local parishes feel his loss. KIDO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Roman Catholic Diocese of Boise will hold a memorial Mass for Pope Francis on Wednesday, April 23 at 12:15 p.m. at the Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist. He died on April 21 after battling double pneumonia — Governor Brad Little ordered flags to half-staff until sunset on the day of his internment. KBOI
- ➤ Boise Mayor Lauren McLean went to City Hall on Sunday to remove trash bags and restore two flags after vandals dumped them, and her office said the flags will remain despite a new state law and letters from the AG+ Ada County Sheriff urging their removal. KBOI
