- ➤ On Saturday, Boiseans gathered when Idaho 50501 hosted the STEP UP! Day of Action Rally at the State Capitol steps—an event that continued into Cecil D. Andrus Park. The downtown march brought many out to call for justice and equality—efforts led by a coalition of local groups. KBOI
- ➤ Capital City Public Market reopened for the season on April 19th at 422 South 11th Street in Boise — it now operates on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with vendors selling fresh baked goods, fruits, vegetables, flowers, and art. KBOI
- ➤ Dozens gathered Saturday in Boise to show support for the Perez family and protest the circumstances surrounding Victor Perez’s death—demonstrators said they planned to work toward preventing similar tragedies in the future. The protest reflected deep community anger and a call for meaningful change. Idaho Press

- ➤ Ford is recalling 24,655 new 2025 Explorers—because a faulty powertrain control module can mistakenly reset—and dealerships will check and repair any damage free of charge while owners are to receive a letter by the end of May. KIDO

- ➤ Eleven Idahoans were sentenced in a federal drug investigation that began in early 2023 after tips led authorities to seize 48,000 fentanyl pills and 4 pounds of meth—drugs that threatened local communities. KIDO

- ➤ Country singer Eric Church said Friday on Instagram that Record Exchange at 1105 W. Idaho St. will host a listening event for his album Evangeline vs. The Machine on May 3 — the first fans will get an exclusive album poster and a grand prize hinting at a possible visit by the musician. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Recent reports show that while the deadly fungus Candida auris has infected people in Washington and Utah, Idaho remains free of cases—along with Montana and Wyoming. The CDC noted nearly 11,000 cases nationwide and warned about the fungus's high mortality rate. KIDO
- ➤ An Idaho medical malpractice lawsuit against Dr. Ryan Cole ended after both sides reached a legal agreement — settlement details were not disclosed. Idaho Press
