- ➤ The city of Boise will host an Earth Day celebration Saturday at Veterans Memorial Park. Idaho Press
- ➤ On Thursday, Boise's foster youth and families joined a free event at the Boise State Esports Arena from 4 to 9 p.m. where NFL star Scott Matlock—an Idaho native and former foster youth—mentored participants and free pizza and drinks were provided. KBOI
- ➤ On Saturday, April 19 at noon, the Women Building Peace coalition will meet at Cecil D. Andrus Park for Quilting for the Constitution: Peace-by-Piece, a national event where participants write messages on fabric squares to support checks-and-balances and the rule-of-law. The quilts will be sewn together and delivered to congressional offices in Washington, D.C. in May. KBOI

- ➤ Three Nampa-area suspects pleaded guilty to bank fraud for defrauding the Paycheck Protection Program during COVID-19, with Miguel Vittorio—who stole about $126,800—scheduled for sentencing on June 16, Casillas set to be sentenced on April 29, and Vasquez sentenced on April 16—all facing up to 30 years in prison and heavy fines.
