  • Zoo Boise will host its Earth Day: Family Night Out event on Apr. 22 for families, homeschool groups, and scouts to explore interactive activity stations and craft eco-friendly projects (a hands-on way to celebrate Earth Day).  KIDO

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A mudslide has blocked both lanes of SH-21 at milepost 32 near Reeds Lane–about 10 miles south of Idaho City–causing delays today as the Idaho Transportation Department advises drivers to use alternate routes and check 511 for updates.  KBOI

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Grocery Outlet is set to open toward the end of May at Paul Bunyan Plaza— a retail development on Deer Flat and Meridian roads— as businesses like Panera and Burger King join the new complex.  KIDO

CULTURE NEWS

  • The American Dahlia Society honored Kaylee Goncalves by presenting a quilt for her family at Quilt Crossing in Treasure Valley today. The quilt, inspired by a dahlia named after her, was made by local and national quilters + symbolizes the community’s shared comfort.  KBOI

  • Roaring Springs is set to open on May 9 with a new waterslide called The Hive as part of a 7-phase, 40% expansion & extended weekend hours, with daily operation starting May 30.  KIDO

  • Ada County has leased land to Boise Pro Soccer for 30 years as Athletic Club Boise begins its season today at Expo Idaho with a $9M investment upgrading the stadium (no taxpayer dollars used) and plans a multi-acre park with walking paths and a skate park opening later this year.  KBOI
