- ➤ Data shows that Mormon married couples in Idaho are more likely to have four or more children, reflecting the faith’s tradition. Research found that up to 12 percent of women over 40 have given birth to three or more kids. KIDO

- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game will stock over 214,000 trout in local lakes and reservoirs this month + including Cascade Reservoir, Lucky Peak, and Dierkes Lake, with some fish already released and more coming soon to boost fishing opportunities. KIDO
- ➤ Trails in the Boise Foothills remain extremely wet and muddy today despite a brief break in rain. Hikers are urged to exercise caution (wet conditions may cause slips). KBOI

- ➤ IDWR Director Mathew Weaver issued an emergency drought declaration across all 44 counties after the state's second-warmest winter and Gov. Little approved the order on Mon, Apr. 13 — the measure unlocks water rights rules to let farmers apply for temporary changes and federal drought aid. Local News 8
- ➤ Beginning Thursday, Apr. 16, construction will close Shoreline Drive east and west of Americana in Boise to local traffic (per the Ada County Highway District) while lane restrictions on Americana support upgrades to bike lanes and pedestrian ramps; drivers are advised to follow posted detours.
