BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Wells Fargo, the third largest bank with more than $1.40 trillion in deposits, announced plans to close 20 branches in 2025 including two Boise offices—4630 West State Street on May 7 and 1400 Vista Ave on May 9. The bank said it will update its remaining locations to meet changing customer needs—improving in-branch services. KIDO
- ➤ Avelo Airlines, which boasted 83.9% on-time flights, will end its nonstop service from Boise Airport at the end of April—beginning a federal contract for ICE deportation flights out of Mesa Gateway Airport on May 12. KIDO
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Treefort Music Fest was held March 26th—30th and featured over 420 bands across 52 venues, with daily attendance estimated at 15,000 to 17,000 as the 13th edition broke records. Festival Director Eric Gilbert said the strong turnout showed community support and that the team plans to build on this success next year. KIDO

- ➤ Today is the final day for Idahoans to file taxes without an extension—tax experts recommend that those who owe money make an estimated payment now to avoid fees and suggest using free online services or meeting a tax professional for more complicated returns. Tax professionals have extra time available on tax day to assist last-minute filers. Local News 8

- ➤ Boise City Council is holding a series of town hall meetings for community input in the coming weeks. The first meeting is on Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. at McMillian Elementary School—other sessions will follow on April 23 and May 8 to address local issues. KBOI
