- ➤ Zoo Boise is hosting a giraffe feeding event this week from Tuesday through Sunday between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Families can feed Jabari and Tafari up close and enjoy a free climb (encounter costs $5 if the giraffes take a bite). KIDO
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Crews are clearing flooding on eastbound I-84 near the Eagle Rd exit as a large puddle blocks the left two lanes and drivers may face delays with more rain expected. KBOI
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Idaho native Aaron Paul announced the Dos Hombres tequila line that will add Blanco and Reposado to its signature mezcal. He said the tequila is crafted with agave stems above ground (for a cleaner taste) and soon will be available at local bars and stores. KIDO
- ➤ Lonely Ghost, a trendy street clothing brand, will host a temporary event on April 17 & 18 at Village at Meridian from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at 2126 N Eagle Road in Meridian. KIDO
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews from the Ada County Highway District are clearing 150 localized flood reports following heavy rain and working extra hours for more rain and snow until Wednesday — drivers are urged to slow down and steer clear of flooded areas. KBOI
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Ada County Sheriff's Office said farewell to K9 Django over the weekend after his battle with cancer; he served from 2016 to 2023 — deploying 182 times and aiding in multiple operations in Boise. KBOI
- ➤ The Division of Financial Management released March's revenue numbers that beat projections but still fell $30.5 million short of the Legislature's target. The state's projected FY ending balance is $36.9 million with April tax collections expected to boost revenues. KBOI
