  • Boise Rescue Mission Ministries invites community members to bid on a 1956 Ford Thunderbird at Corbett Auctions and Appraisals on Saturday, April 19 at 10 a.m.—all proceeds will support safe shelter, warm meals and vital resources for homeless individuals and families.  KBOI

CRIME NEWS

  • On March 12th, Boise Police began investigating a business report of stolen merchandise on the 8300 block of West Overland Road after a female suspect left without paying; officers later located Sandra Juarez (also known as Sandra Lung) on Tuesday and booked her into Ada County Jail (where she is held) on charges of felony burglary and felony attempted grand theft.  KBOI
  • Ada County Sheriff’s Office today shared 5 tips to help parents keep kids safe from online predators after reports showed a 300% rise in online enticement from 2021 to 2023 — the advice aims to guard against new risks as technology grows.  KIDO
  • Bryan Kohberger, accused of killing four University of Idaho students, appeared in court Wednesday morning in a hearing that set rules for evidence ahead of his trial scheduled to begin on August 11 — former U.S. attorney Josh Hurwit joined the prosecution team.  KBOI

  • Governor Brad Little signed Senate Bill 1208 Wednesday to invest $23.2M and add 63 workers to Idaho’s foster care system. The law will help keep children with their families and lower costs by reducing out-of-state placements — a measure set to better protect vulnerable children.  Local News 8
