  • Boise pizza delivery driver Dan went viral on TikTok after he picked up Diet Coke for a couple at Domino’s and has now raised over $30k in donations as he readies himself for retirement after a 14-year career.  KIDO
  • The Capital City Public Market will open this Saturday, April 11 at the Grove Plaza for its 32nd season and remain open through December. Locals can explore food, art & crafts as they enjoy Boise’s spring and summer vibe.  KIDO

  • The Protein Spot will give away free hot bar bowls, smoothies, and drinks on April 18th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Broadway to mark its first birthday + thank loyal customers.  KIDO
  • A Boise entrepreneur gets a big opportunity at Treefort Music Fest as vendors gain a chance to reach new music fans. The event will bring fresh ways for local businesses to grow.  Idaho Press
  • Grocery Outlet closed three Idaho stores in Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and Smelterville last month as part of a plan to address rapid expansion. The chain continues to invest locally with a new Kuna location coming soon and a recent opening in Post Falls.  KIDO

CULTURE NEWS

  • The Morrison Center announced its 2026–2027 Broadway in Boise season with eight shows including Beauty and the Beast, Mrs. Doubtfire, and The Book of Mormon. Season tickets will be on sale starting May 13.  KIDO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho Transportation Department installed permanent American flag signs on the Cloverdale Road overpass above I-84 overnight as a memorial for airmen (from a 2018 crash), replacing the fabric flags previously used for tribute.  KBOI
  • Governor Little signed HB 561 into law Tuesday to limit public flag displays to US, Idaho and City flags — prompting Mayor McLean to review legal options after Pride flags were removed from City Hall.  KBOI
  • Boise Airport's familiar smoke plume is back as the fire training exercise by the Boise Fire Department (an FAA requirement) will be visible over the coming days. The drill reassures residents that there is no real threat.  KIDO

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Idaho Steelheads hosted a home game on April 1 against the Kansas City Mavericks and will play today at The Grove and again tomorrow at the same arena. Boise fans can catch the team as they aim for a strong finish to the regular season.  KIDO
  • AC Boise will debut its new stadium (Expo Idaho) this weekend when it hosts Spokane Velocity at 7 p.m. in Boise, and players are eager to spark a regional rivalry against the experienced squad.  KBOI
