- ➤ Friends of the Boise Public Library announced a book sale at their new venue—Friends on Fulton at 775 W. Fulton St.—set for April 4-6. The sale will offer a range of books, CDs, DVDs, and other media for all ages with hours on Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. KBOI
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Baker County Search and Rescue responded on Saturday night after a man’s off-road vehicle broke down several miles down Deems Loop and forced him to walk over five miles for cell service—rescuing his wife and child and safely reuniting the family. KBOI

- ➤ Boise residents will participate in a Harry Potter trivia night at Watson's Mystery Cafe and Spirits on April 17th—where a costume contest will also take place. KIDO
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Brad Kurtz-Shaw, vice president of academic affairs at Northwest Nazarene University, recalled how COVID changed life five years ago and said it has since reshaped health care and education in Idaho. Idaho Press
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Boise tied its second warmest March day on March 26th when temperatures hit 81º, nearly matching the all-time record of 82º set in 1877. The Farmer’s Almanac forecast predicts a warm and dry summer with unsettled conditions from July 4–7 and fair skies from Sept 1–3 — a signal of the extreme heat seen in recent summers. KIDO
- ➤ A rowdy storm hit downtown Boise today, with small hail, graupel and wind gusts up to 50 mph alongside lightning, though no serious damage was reported (the storm passed quickly). Research on past Idaho storms shows such events have once caused significant flood damage. KIDO

- ➤ The Idaho Air National Guard is deploying over 300 airmen to Southwest Asia to support upcoming operations in the region. Idaho Press

- ➤ Idaho Fish & Game reminded hunters, anglers and trappers to mark important dates in April for tag sales and season openers—participants should check updated season rules to confirm openings and restrictions. The agency said these dates will guide those planning outdoor activities later this month. KIDO
- ➤ Zoo Boise will host Wild at Twilight, an after-hours guided tour that lets adults (21 and over) view animal behavior after dark; tickets cost ($45) and beer and cider will be available for purchase.
