- ➤ Alefort beer festival is underway during Treefort weekend at Julia Davis Park, where visitors use $3.75 tokens to try beers and ciders from over 50 breweries. The free event offers drinks grouped by type—light, dark, hoppy, tart, barrel-aged—and also has cider, zero proof and wine bars. KIDO

- ➤ Madison and Fremont County firefighters, dispatchers and Rexburg police are taking part in emotional survival training to cope with the stress of witnessing traumatic events. Local officials say the program gives first responders tools to handle job pressures and may reduce the more than 1,200 reported police suicides since 2016 — many believe this number is even higher. - ➤ The Bridger-Teton National Forest announced on its Facebook page that it will launch a new fee program and large group reservation system for the Snake River Canyon in May—visitors will be able to purchase day and season passes online or at boat ramp kiosks, and groups of 16–30 will book timed launches starting May 1.
