- ➤ The Boise Farmers Market is opening its 2025 season on April 5 at 1500 Shoreline Drive and will welcome visitors every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through October—offering local produce, artisanal goods, and community activities. KBOI
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ The Kohl's store at Boise Towne Square Mall will close this Saturday as one of 27 locations shutting due to low sales — high inflation has kept shoppers away. KBOI
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Valley Regional Transit will offer its free and frequent Treeline shuttle from March 26th to March 29th to carry riders from the Main Stage at Julia Davis Park to Treefort venues across downtown Boise with buses arriving every 10 to 15 minutes. Today the shuttle will run from 2—11 p.m.—and it also serves as a mobile stage for 40 performances including Bands on the Bus. KBOI
- ➤ A new article shows that some everyday phrases in Idaho, Utah, and Washington come from racist origins and were once used to keep people down—words that still carry a hidden hurtful past. The piece explains that many common sayings have changed over time but still remind us of when language was used to oppress. KIDO
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ United Van Lines released its 2024 migration study showing that 64,970 Idaho residents left the state with Washington receiving 11.5% of those moving and destinations including Utah, Texas, Arizona and Oregon. The survey also identified six key reasons for the moves—factors such as job opportunities and lifestyle changes that continue to shape Idaho's population. KIDO

- ➤ Idaho health officials note that measles cases have risen in 18 states to 378—with a death in Texas and another under investigation in New Mexico—even though no cases have been reported locally. The CDC warns that the highly contagious virus—spreading quickly among unvaccinated individuals—poses a risk, especially for travelers during spring break. KIDO
