EDUCATION NEWS

  • Mike Jones, a Boise man, began pursuing a law degree in his late 60s while living in Tempe, Arizona. He is now potentially among the oldest in the country to earn the degree and said he is proud of his success.  Idaho Press

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Thursday, community members, homeless shelter operators, and city officials met to voice their opinions on a bill that would ban unauthorized camping in Idaho—officials raised concerns about how the measure will be enforced.  Idaho Press
  • Members of the Idaho Legislature’s budget committee killed federal funding for home energy rebates, ending a program that helped lower energy costs for homeowners (the decision followed budget reviews) and leaving future rebate options uncertain (official details are pending).  Idaho Press
