  • Calle 75 announced that its downtown dining room will close after lunch service on Friday, March 13 as the taco truck continues serving customers at community gatherings—such as TreeFort Music Festival. The move ends 18 years of brick-and-mortar service while keeping the brand active on the streets.  KIDO

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The City of Boise updated its compost program today so residents know which 35 items to keep out of the trash for proper recycling. The new guide helps maintain a cleaner city + reduce landfill waste.  KIDO
  • The City of Boise launched Keep Boise Cool, a guide that helps residents build climate action plans and find local events as the city works toward a carbon-neutral goal by 2050. Events include family storytimes, a climate book club, pond volunteering + water-wise workshops.  KBOI

HEALTH NEWS

  • A recall now affects 33 million pounds of frozen fried rice and ramen products sold at Idaho stores after contaminated carrots caused glass fragments and a high-risk USDA Class I rating — consumers should discard or return recalled items.  KIDO

  • Wednesday night at Skyline High School, the Snake River Cobras special needs basketball team edged out Skyline 57-55 in a close game. The team, practicing at the Recreation Center, will play four more games this season — players said they need to pass better.  Local News 8
