- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game warns Boise area hikers and dog owners to be alert during coyote mating season. Officials advise keeping dogs leashed and removing attractants near homes (coyotes may be more territorial this season) to ensure safety while exploring local trails. KIDO
FINANCE NEWS
- ➤ The Idaho Lottery confirmed the $417K Idaho Cash jackpot from Feb. 17 was won when a ticket matched all five numbers. The nightly drawing resets the jackpot to $20K at 8:00 p.m. MT—players can try their luck again. KIDO
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A test of Tesla’s Full Self-Driving shows that while the car drives itself, drivers must stay alert because Idaho law treats the person in the driver’s seat as responsible + intoxication remains a DUI violation. KIDO
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warns that 11,000 recalled LShome Photoelectric Smoke Alarms sold on Amazon may not sound when needed. Idaho residents with these white, battery-operated alarms (3-pack) should stop using them and email recall instructions to secure a refund. KIDO
- ➤ Advocates Against Family Violence reported rising teen dating violence cases in Canyon County after serving 9,047 youths last year and 105 teens in January. Outreach coordinator Tiffany Ruiz said the nonprofit will continue year-round education and support programs to help teens face unhealthy behaviors and digital abuse. Local News 8
