- ➤ Boise Fire rescued Rosie, a six-foot red-tailed boa who got wedged in a PVC pipe Tuesday (Feb. 10). Firefighters from Engine 5 and Ladder 5 freed the snake using careful teamwork to ensure she was unharmed. KBOI
- ➤ Meridian will break ground on a 26,000 sqft community center and park expansion, featuring a dog park, playground, and new parking spaces. The Meridian Fire Department and Parks and Recreation will co-host the ceremony at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at the site west of the Settlers Park ball field. KBOI
