  • A pancake feed is set for this Sunday, Feb. 1 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at a local venue as a fundraiser to help baker Aaron Hudson and the Whalen family with their medical costs, organized by a local influencer & Max & Louie's.  KIDO

CULTURE NEWS

  • The upcoming Outlaw Field Concert Series at the Idaho Botanical Garden will host reggae, folk-rock, and blues/rock acts, starting with Iration on June 12, Kaleo on July 10, Rainbow Kitten Surprise on July 14, and Bonnie Raitt on September 10.  KIDO

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Idaho National Guard will reduce tuition assistance by 29%—following Governor Brad Little's mandate to cut statewide spending by 3%—to comply with budget cuts, officials said on Thursday. Military leaders warned the change may affect recruitment and retention.  Local News 8
  • Idaho's population grew by 1.4% in 2025, placing the state second nationally as nearly 190,610 new residents raised the total to about 2,029,733. Census data showed net migration accounted for 76% of the growth from 2020 to 2025.  KBOI

  • Documents show that Boise State and the UFL reached a verbal deal to bring a team to Boise for two seasons at Albertsons Stadium — the plan fell through but leaves open a future possibility.  KBOI
