About this event

Must register and pay on the Clay Centers website: Catalyst Arts Collaborative

COST is $95 for the 4-HOUR WORKSHOP and the follow-up glazing session. Make sure you sign up for the 11/15 class!

Craft a ceramic handmade bird house or bird feeder for your backyard birds!

Students will choose from several construction methods, such as slab and coil building to create a home or feeder of their own design. After reviewing different samples, participants will choose a method of building and level of difficulty. They will then design and build their own creation under supervision of their Instructor. Students will build one or more items in the workshop. They will then be given a pass to attend a separate clay session to finish glazing their pieces after they have been bisque-fired by the Cat Clay studio.

Your reservation includes access to: - Instruction/guidance - Clay - Access to ceramic tools if needed - Kiln firing by our instructors after your workshop

Please bring with you: - Clothes that can get dirty - A snack

Optional to Bring: - Apron - Personal set of tools, if preferred - Sketchbook or pictures of ideas that inspire you

Clay Studio Notes & Agreements: *Typically, trimming, glazing or underglazing cannot be done on pottery pieces that have just been made; please plan on booking another session to complete any trimming or glazing. *Pre-registration for our clay offerings is a requirement. *Long nails are not recommended for this activity
