Hackfort Happy Hour + First Thursday

About this event

**What if everything you think you know about the algorithm is wrong? 📺**

Join us for the next Hackfort Happy Hour: **The Algorithm Doesn’t Hate You: Decoding the Hidden Architecture of Modern Attention**

After 16 years in YouTube and more than a billion views, Cassiopia Evans of Demand Orbit, has learned that the secret to successful content isn’t chasing virality. It’s understanding the human behavior driving the machines.

In this fast-paced, interactive session, Cassiopia pulls back the curtain on how recommendation systems use behavioral data to predict what we watch, why we watch it, and what we might want next. She’ll challenge some assumptions about how much control we really have over our digital experiences, explore the psychology behind attention, and break down how creators and businesses can use audience intelligence to build visibility, relevance and trust.

You’ll walk away with practical ways to identify what your audience actually wants, uncover content opportunities through search and AI-powered discovery, and create content that works with the algorithm instead of fighting it.

No algorithm hacks. No chasing viral trends. Just a look at the technology shaping modern attention, and how to make it work for you.

**About Cassiopia**: she has spent 16 years in digital media, generating 1.5 billion views and building more than 2 million subscribers. She has worked on projects for brands like Amazon, Target, Mattel, Xbox and PlayStation, and on events including Comic-Con and VidCon.
