About this event
The Digital Loom: Intersecting Realities is Idaho's first phygital art and fashion showcase, one night where art, fashion and technology share a room.
The afternoon is free and open to everyone, 2:00 to 4:30 PM, built around The Loom Youth Prize: a statewide art competition for Idaho kids aged 6 to 17, with around thirty shortlisted works on the wall and the winners announced on stage at 4:00 PM. Walk the galleries, meet the artists, and see the AR layer on your own phone; no app, no headset.
The evening showcase runs from 5:30 PM (ticketed, $45 to $200): an augmented-reality runway by Ramiro Albán (New York Fashion Week 2024), where printed garments come alive through the phone in your hand; an exhibition and live auction of artists from four countries; and the Digital Twin Studio, where a work is registered with verified provenance and shown in an online gallery for a year. 275 guests.
Produced by OpulX Media, a Meridian company. Educational partner: University of Idaho Apparel, Textiles and Design, Margaret Ritchie School of Family and Consumer Sciences. Hotel partner: The Sparrow. Youth Prize entries close October 17 at loom.opulx.io/prize.
